Big day for such a little girl

Lola has a big day ahead of her tomorrow.  In the morning, we will be going to the U.S. Embassy for an interview for Lola’s passport this way we can see all you fine folks in Indiana and maybe Michigan!  Then we have a ladies only lunch date followed by Lola’s second EEG.  The poor babe will be given something to make her sleepy and we have to hope she doesn’t wake up to tear all the little electrodes off of her head as she did last time.  We are praying the EEG shows no signs of hypsarrhythmia which according to Wikipedia is a “very chaotic and disorganized brain wave behavior with no recognizable pattern”.  If her EEG is normal than that means the West Syndrome is under control....

Day 14 – May 11th, 2011

Our little hippie baby has been doing great today.  She has had two seizure clusters, one happening at 2:00 am and the other at 6:00 am.  She only had a couple of seizures each time which is a definite improvement from before.  Not much new to report other than I went to the U.S. Embassy today to drop off all of the paperwork (a ton of it!) for Lola’s passport.  We’ll be heading back to Indianapolis in July so look for a post begging for travel tips with a baby.  And finally my Mom is coming home tonight… well at least I hope so.  She was stuck in Dallas because of bad weather, so we’re wishing her safe travels.  See you in the am mama!...
