Link: Featured this Week A fellow blogging mama, Amanda asked if I was interested in sharing some thoughts about being a mom.  I happily agreed and I thoroughly enjoyed taking the time to think about how becoming a mom has affected me.  Amanda as well as many other blogging parents have become not only advocates in this crazy world of parenting, but also friends even if just virtually.  I started out as a blogger just to share our life in Costa Rica with our loved ones, but being in the Tumblr community has helped me through some truly difficult times.  I appreciate all of you and your continued support....

Fun time with friends

Much needed time with mama’s

They all see something intriguing. How’s that for eye contact? Ophelia checking out Lola. Looking at the toy. Grabbing the toy. What improvements!! Let me try that hand. The girls and their girls. Sakura & Noah Noah and the chicks. Yesterday Lola and I spent the afternoon with our other mama friends and their babies.  It was the first time we just plopped the kids on the floor to see how they would interact.  It was amazing to see how they all responded to one another.  Lola was thrilled to be hanging out with the babies and it was fun to watch.  I think the baby interaction is good for Lola as it enables her to tap into all of her senses.  Of course it’s good for us...

Awkward, uncomfortable, odd, upsetting

I knew the day would come when I would run into the OB-GYN that delivered Lola.  For those of you that missed the story you can read the edited or the unedited version.  I guess you could say that I’m not quite over the way this doctor treated me.  I thought I had moved on, but when I saw him my heart literally sank into my stomach and this was the sign that I was still emotionally injured by this man.   So here I am at Office Depot.  I have Lolita in her stroller.  I’m enjoying my freedom away from the hotel.  I’m piecing together Father’s Day ideas for my husband.  Then out of the corner of my eye I see a doctor in scrubs.  I think...
