A Quick Catch-Up Through Pictures

I warned you. I had a hunch this pregnancy would keep me away from my beloved blog. I can’t blame it on morning sickness anymore because finally at 14 weeks, I’m starting to be amongst the living once again. I guess you could say I’m just one tuckered out mama. Between working extensive hours, keeping up with my crazy 2 1/2 year old, trying to at least put my laundry away and staying present in my marriage…well, I guess I’m just stretched a little thin right now (although my belly is stretching WAY out). When I plop my tush down at the end of the day, I just want to sit still, not move and not think. I just want to be. Actually, I just want to be...

Pure Michigan

Last weekend was a girls getaway as my mom, Lola and I headed up to Michigan to see friends and family. For those of you that don’t know, I grew up in Battle Creek, Michigan aka home of Kellogg’s and Post Cereal. That was and is Battle Creek’s name to fame. Anniversary Surprise

Happy Anniversary to us! My besties and my family Amazing cake and good beer Also a week ago was our one year wedding anniversary.  Because my two best friends, Alexis and Mindi couldn’t come to Costa Rica for the big event they decided to make our anniversary special.  Alexis bought the best cake I have ever had, Mindi filled her Waterford crystal champagne glasses with Bell’s Oberon and the two toasted us on our special day.  These girls have been in my life for a very long time and no matter how many miles are between us…we always pick up right where we left off.  That is how true friendship works.  ...

My how we have all grown up! Lola checking out RJ Mindi and Lolita The girl can sleep anywhere! Happy Birthday Mason! Daddy/baby love Family Smiling for the camera Amigas Michigan was everything I had hoped it would be.  We spent time with my family and my closest friends.  Lola made her grand debut and she was eating up all of the attention.  A week ago today, my best friend Alexis threw a birthday party for her son/welcome home party/anniversary party/Lola’s arrival party.  It was an amazing day full of good food, tasty beer and familiar conversations.  I am blessed to have such wonderful people in my life.  I have always felt homesick, but leaving Michigan made me realize how homesick I really was.  I love all of...
