Happy Birthday Kathy!

Today is Kathy’s birthday! Who is Kathy? Well, she just happens to be my mother-in-law. I suppose I always had a fear of what a MIL would entail. I heard horror stories from friends and I’ve seen enough movies where the MIL is a nightmare, but thankfully…I actually love my MIL. I have to say I really lucked out in that department. She has a beautiful soul and I feel blessed to have another strong woman in my life. So Kathy – I hope you had a wonderful day. Visiting Pop

Pop, Lolita and me Happy Grandpa A rare family picture Lola and her cousins Oberon!! The Howell Clan Rob and Lola Brothers and the babe Rob’s dad came and picked us up from New Harmony.  From there we were on to Southern Indiana where Pop lives.  He just retired after 37 years so we had plenty of time to catch up.  We enjoyed some amazing German food in Evansville along with my personal Michigan favorite, Bells Oberon.  I got to meet some of Rob’s family for the first time which to me is important.  I love seeing where he came from, who he spent his life around and all of the fun stories in between.  Rob’s dad drove us all the way back up to Indy where we...

Go Lola!

While she clearly didn’t have a graceful landing (must be something she inherited from me), Lola rolled her tiny ass right over this afternoon.  I wish I would have been there to watch it, but she was happy, partially naked and giggling on her playmat so I just let her be.  Moises (Lola’s PT) is going to be very proud of her as that is what we’ve been working so hard for.  Rolling over is the first step in mobility!...
