Phase One of PT

After nine hours of straight sleep last night, I thought for sure today would be an excellent day for Lola’s PT… at least that’s what I thought before our actual day began.  I knew she was in a funk, but canceling PT was simply not an option.  We knew poor Moises would endure yet again and sure enough he did.  The wonderful thing about Lola’s PT is that we are given all of the exercises to do at home with her.  Since a baby’s mood is quite unpredictable and because most children thrive in their own home, Moises essentially teaches the parents how to be therapists as well.  Today he had Rob take pictures with his camera (I still took plenty with my own) while he went through...

PT at Home

While Lola’s physical therapy begins tomorrow (last week was more of an introduction), Rob and I decided to give Lola her own little PT corner at home.  Since we will be learning what tools, techniques and exercises to incorporate in Lola’s daily life, we thought it best to dedicate an area that is specifically for her therapy.  We went this weekend to purchase a couple of the items we knew Lola would need.  We are excited to start this phase in Lola’s treatment as we understand how important the therapy is for her progress.  Thankfully, Lola seems to dig therapy time too!...
