Contortionist Maybe?

This little lady has got some abs on her! Yesterday she was supposed to be sitting in her swing, but when I looked over this is how I found her. I’m not sure if you can see, but she has a dribble of drool literally going down her foot. [frame align=”center”][/frame] [frame align=”center”][/frame] [frame align=”center”][/frame] After she was finished licking and eating her feet along with laughing about it, she sat back up in an upright position as if it was nothing. She has become quite thick with strength in the past few weeks and I’m sure once she wraps her mind around things like sitting unassisted and crawling, she’ll be doing them in no time....

Outtakes From Trying to Sit

Lola is trying desperately to sit on her own these days. She has face planted it a few times which worries the hell out of me seeing that I have this ungodly fear of her hurting her delicate brain. Yet I know that babies have to fall in order to understand cause and effect. On the days when she appears to be extra clumsy (she must get that after me seeing that my nickname is “dipstick”), I just put her on the bed so her fall will be broken by a comfy mattress. All in a Week

Lola’s development is blossoming right before our very eyes! This week we are seeing: Lola is trying so hard to sit up on her own. Before she would always push herself backwards in an effort to stand up, but now she is manuevering her hands on the ground in order to help keep her balance. If she falls forward, she has her hands to protect her, but she doesn’t quite understand they won’t be there if she goes backwards. I caught her in the crib trying to sit up with the boppy pillow as support. After a battle with her abs, she finally did it! The Many Mango Faces
