The Great Pacifier Debate

OK, so Rob and I are first time parents. Every single day is a learning experience. It is what makes this whole parenting thing fun and exciting while it is also what makes it scary as hell. There are daily decisions that need to be made and for the most part, we just don’t know what to do although I’ll be damned if we aren’t trying our hardest. Lola is a boob kind of baby. She loves my ta-tas and who can blame her really? They are pretty fabulous. Let me rephrase that… they were pretty fabulous. A Week in Motherhood

It is hard to believe that Lola has already been in our lives for almost a week. It feels like she has been here all along and it is difficult remembering what life was like without her physically present in it. I won’t lie… I’m deliriously tired. As I’m typing this and she is asleep, I’m wondering why the hell I’m not sleeping too. But, instincts take over exhaustion and I’d rather spend a thousand sleepless nights with her than one without her. I am in love if you can’t tell. Bringing Lola Into the World

So this is a long birth story, but I figured I’ve been writing about all things related to my nine month long pregnancy… how could I possibly transition from one amazing part to the next in one measly paragraph? Remember the aura I was wondering if anyone felt before they went into labor? The internal (not physical) instinct that something profound was about to take place within your body?
